Even venison or wild boar would be ok I think.

"I hope your friends won't think I'm insane, though."

Think nothing of it. Hehe.

I haven't tried the Petalos... My sister said she's cooking something this week so I'll probably drink it with the meal she's preparing. What do you think would go well with that wine?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159578680459427485.post-39111256839267120052008-08-31T17:52:00.000+08:002008-08-31T17:52:00.000+08:00Hi, Chinkee. Thanks! You and Matt should join our functions sometime.

So...how did you find the Pétalos?

Best,

NoelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159578680459427485.post-88062718090702397372008-08-31T11:05:00.000+08:002008-08-31T11:05:00.000+08:00"This gewürz was my favorite wine of Bott-Geyl tha..."This gewürz was my favorite wine of Bott-Geyl that night: clean, sweetly fresh flowers, rose petals, spiced lychee and peach in the nose..."

This was the wine that got me hooked on gewurz. The first time I tried it was at the very first Gourmand Night, where they served it with a foie gras and langoustine starter, if I'm not mistaken. What a great pairing that was!
Looked like another fun-filled dinner at JSG. Congrats to you, Marc and Mr. Sim!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
