Tan Tan Men @ Ukokkei Ramen Ron.

I've been to Ukokkei Ramen Ron (along Pasay Road, Makati) only once before, around a year ago with Catha and Mig, just to see what the buzz was all about. Food was good enough, but the aircon was busted and we were sweating through our shirts the whole time. I never went back until last night - Mig and I had a quick bite after a funeral mass for one of his uncles.

The above depicted bowl is of the Tan Tan Men - a Japanese version of a Szechuan noodle dish. Per Mig, Ukokkei Ramen Ron serves a limited number of bowls of this in the afternoons or evenings. Love it: rich, mildly chili-spicy, with a sesame seed nutty-creaminess. Addictive stuff. This is definitely something I'd go back for.
